Good governance in ports and shipping

Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen.

Some people have approached me and told me that the Distribution Management Association of the Philippines is composed of crybabies.  Companies that are trying to make a mountain out of a molehill, picking on poor cargo handlers and ship operators and blaming them for poor sales performances of DMAP members.  Asking these companies to show their financial statements for scrutiny and making a lot of noise about their inefficiencies and even to the point of harassing the maritime agencies supervising the cargo handling and shipping industries.  Why? – when DMAP members cost to transport their products are not even higher than 10% of the value of their products!
